Our core promise: We use information to provide and secure RouteScout. We do not sell personal information for money. Customers remain responsible for the lead and contact data they choose to add.

1. Scope and roles

This Policy applies to RouteScout websites, applications, support, and related services. For account, billing, website, and support information, RouteScout generally acts as the business or controller. For lead, contact, and campaign information a customer uploads or manages, RouteScout generally processes that information on the customer's behalf; the customer decides why and how it is used.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email, role, organization, settings, and authentication identifiers.
  • Billing information: plan, subscription status, transaction identifiers, and limited billing details. Stripe processes payment-card information; RouteScout does not store full card numbers.
  • Customer content: businesses, leads, contacts, notes, products, sales, activities, follow-ups, routes, templates, campaigns, message status, and files you choose to provide.
  • Connected-service data: authorization tokens and information needed to provide Google, Microsoft, Gmail, mapping, or other integrations you enable. We do not request mailbox passwords.
  • Usage and technical data: IP address, device and browser information, timestamps, pages and features used, diagnostic events, and security logs.
  • Communications: support requests, feedback, and other messages you send us.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide, personalize, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot RouteScout; process subscriptions; authenticate users; support requested integrations; send service and billing notices; respond to support; enforce policies; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with law; and analyze or improve the Service. We may use aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify a person.

4. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to service providers that help with hosting, storage, authentication, payments, email connections, maps, analytics, security, and support; to integrations you direct us to use; to professional advisers; to authorities when legally required; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. We require service providers to use information only for authorized purposes. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

5. Lead and campaign data

Customers must have a lawful basis to collect and use lead information and must honor privacy, suppression, and opt-out requests. RouteScout does not independently verify that a customer is authorized to contact a lead. Customers should avoid entering sensitive personal information unless necessary and lawful.

6. Google Maps and Places data

When you use business discovery, RouteScout sends the search and location information needed to Google Maps Platform and displays Google-provided listing information with required attribution. Expanded details are requested when you open a listing. RouteScout may retain Google Place IDs and other information only as permitted by Google's terms. When you choose to save a business, RouteScout stores the lead and the CRM information you confirm or add, such as status, notes, contacts, activities, and follow-ups. Google's privacy policy also applies to Google's processing.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We may use necessary cookies or local storage for sign-in, security, preferences, and core functionality. If we later use optional analytics or advertising technologies, we will provide any notices and choices required by law.

8. Retention

We retain information while an account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security and records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type. Customers should export needed records before closing an account. We may retain backups for a limited period before secure deletion or de-identification.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and encrypted provider connections where supported. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

10. Your choices and privacy rights

You may update profile information in RouteScout, disconnect integrations, manage billing, or request access, correction, deletion, portability, or an appeal by emailing privacy@routescoutpro.com. We may need to verify your identity. Rights vary by location and may be subject to exceptions. We aim to respond within 45 days where Virginia law applies. For customer-managed lead data, contact the RouteScout customer that collected it first; we will assist that customer as required.

11. Children

RouteScout is a business service not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.

12. U.S. operations and changes

RouteScout is operated from Virginia, United States, and information may be processed in the United States and other locations used by service providers. We may update this Policy and will provide reasonable notice of material changes. Questions or requests may be sent to privacy@routescoutpro.com.
