Zero tolerance for abusive outreach: RouteScout may suspend campaigns or accounts that send deceptive messages, ignore opt-outs, use unlawfully obtained data, or create excessive complaints.

1. Lawful use

You may use RouteScout only for lawful business prospecting, relationship management, route planning, and related sales activity. You must comply with laws that apply to you and your recipients, including CAN-SPAM, telemarketing and do-not-call rules, privacy and data-protection laws, and industry-specific restrictions. Business-to-business email is not automatically exempt from CAN-SPAM.

2. Email requirements

Every commercial email sent using or prepared through RouteScout must:

  • use accurate From, To, Reply-To, domain, and routing information;
  • use a subject line that accurately reflects the message;
  • clearly identify the message as advertising or solicitation when required;
  • include the sender's valid physical postal address;
  • include a clear, conspicuous, functioning way to opt out;
  • honor opt-out requests within 10 business days and not charge, require login, or demand extra information beyond what is reasonably needed to opt out; and
  • continue honoring suppression records even if a list or campaign is moved elsewhere.

3. Permission and list quality

You must have a lawful basis for using contact information. Do not use scraped, stolen, deceptive, or unlawfully purchased lists; guessed addresses at scale; harvested addresses; or contacts who previously opted out. Purchased or rented lists carry special risk and may not be used unless you can document lawful collection, required notices, and permission or another valid legal basis.

4. Prohibited content and conduct

You may not use RouteScout to send or facilitate phishing, malware, impersonation, fraud, deceptive offers, harassment, threats, hate, exploitation, illegal goods or services, rights infringement, or content that violates a platform or mailbox provider's rules. You may not evade sending limits, manipulate engagement, conceal identity, bypass suppression, interfere with security, reverse engineer the Service, or use RouteScout to build a competing dataset or service unlawfully.

5. Calls, visits, and routes

Respect no-trespassing signs, access restrictions, operating hours, safety requirements, and requests to leave or stop contact. Do not use RouteScout to target protected individuals unlawfully, trespass, stalk, threaten, or create unsafe routes. Mapping and hours data must be independently verified when safety or timing matters.

6. Monitoring and enforcement

We may use automated and manual measures to investigate unusual volume, high bounce or complaint rates, suspected abuse, or policy violations. We may pause sending, require proof of list origin or compliance, limit features, remove content, or suspend or terminate accounts. Serious illegal activity may be reported to providers or authorities as permitted by law.

7. Reporting abuse

Report suspected spam, phishing, abuse, or unauthorized RouteScout use to abuse@routescoutpro.com. Include the sender, date, subject, and relevant headers if available. Do not forward active malware or expose passwords.
